Over the past 12 years, India’s welfare delivery system has undergone a transformative change under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Guided by the principles of Antyodaya, last-mile delivery and saturation, the focus has been on ensuring that every eligible beneficiary receives the benefits of development.
Through initiatives such as Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission and PM Awas Yojana, millions of families have gained access to banking services, clean cooking fuel, sanitation, tap water and permanent housing. Direct Benefit Transfer has strengthened transparency by ensuring welfare benefits reach citizens directly, while Ayushman Bharat, social security schemes and SVAMITVA have expanded access to healthcare, financial security and property ownership.
As India moves towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, Garib Kalyan remains at the heart of governance, reinforcing the belief that true development is measured by how effectively it reaches those who need it the most.
