Minister Javed Ahmed Rana Congratulates Wildlife Department for Top National Ranking of Dachigam National Park

Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment, Javed Ahmed Rana, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Wildlife Department for securing the highest score of 92.97% in the Management Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE) of Dachigam National Park. The evaluation was conducted by the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.
The Minister lauded the exceptional efforts of the Wildlife Wing of the Forest Department, commending their dedication to the efficient management of protected areas in the ecologically sensitive region of Jammu & Kashmir.
Calling the achievement a “benchmark for conservation excellence,” Rana emphasized that the performance of Dachigam should serve as a model for other protected areas across the Union Territory.
“This recognition reflects the commitment and hard work of our frontline staff and officers, and I encourage similar dedication across all our protected landscapes,” he stated.
