Anantnag Police Conduct Simultaneous Narco CASOs at 20 Locations Across District

Anantnag: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and narcotics networks, Anantnag Police on Sunday conducted simultaneous Narco Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) at 20 identified locations across the district, targeting alleged drug kingpins, peddlers, and their associates involved in the illegal narcotics trade.

According to officials, the operations were carried out by specially constituted police teams under the supervision of senior officers. The searches were launched on the basis of specific inputs developed during investigations into various NDPS cases, along with other credible intelligence gathered by the police.

To enhance the effectiveness of the operations, K9 squads were also deployed during the searches conducted at multiple locations across the district.

Police said the coordinated action was aimed at dismantling the drug supply chain, identifying individuals providing logistical and financial support to narcotics networks, and initiating strict legal action against all those found involved in the illegal trade.

The large-scale operation forms part of the district police’s ongoing campaign against the growing drug menace and reflects its intensified efforts to curb narcotics trafficking in the region.

Reiterating its commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking, Anantnag Police stated that such operations will continue in the future to ensure a safe and drug-free society.
