PRESS RELEASE Leh, June 4, 2025: The National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa (NISR), Leh, has successfully organised a one-day Nature Walk and Biodiversity Exposure Program on 4th June 2025 for the students of various Schools of Leh-Ladakh under the Harit Yoga initiative of Ministry of Ayush.

The main aim of the event is to foster environmental awareness, conservation of nature and connect students with the rich plant biodiversity of Ladakh. Dr. Padma Gurmet, Director, National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Leh inaugurated the program and the faculty members of National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Leh have conducted a full tour of Trans-Himalayan Herbal Garden to all the students.

Around 200 students from various leading schools and educational institutions across Leh have actively participated in the program. The schools includes Delhi Public School, Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School, Islamia Public School, Mahabodhi Residential School, Central Institute of Buddhist Studies and National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Leh.
