PM Modi Inaugurates Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira In Karnataka, Pays Tribute To Spiritual Legacy
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira at the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math in Mandya district of Karnataka and shared glimpses of his visit through a series of posts on X.
PM Modi said during the event “the new mandira stands as a tribute to the country’s timeless spiritual ethos and its enduring traditions of service and wisdom”.
During his visit to the historic math, the Prime Minister also visited the Jwala Peetha and offered prayers at the Sri Kalabhairava Temple. He paid homage to His Holiness Jagadguru Paramapoojya Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji, describing him as “a beacon of spirituality and service” whose efforts in societal empowerment have touched countless lives across the world.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote:
“This morning, the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira was inaugurated at the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math in Mandya District, Karnataka. This sacred space stands as a tribute to the timeless spiritual ethos and the enduring traditions of service and wisdom of our land.”
He added: “At the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math, visited the Jwala Peetha and prayed at Sri Kalabhairava Temple. Paid homage to His Holiness Jagadguru Paramapoojya Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji. He is a beacon of spirituality and service, who has made commendable efforts in societal empowerment. His work has touched countless lives across the world.”
The inauguration ceremony at the prominent spiritual centre in Mandya highlighted the rich cultural and religious heritage of Karnataka and the country. The Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math has long been known for its contributions to education, healthcare and social service.
