Leh, November 7, 2024: The New District Committee convened a meeting with Head of Departments/ District Officers of Leh District at DC Office Conference Hall on November 7. The meeting was chaired by Sh. Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS (Retd.), with members Sh. Kacho Asfandyar Khan, IAS (Retd.), Sh. Tsering Angchok, IAS (Retd.), and Deputy Commissioner Leh Santosh Sukhadeve (ex-officio).

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Sonam Nurboo, Chief Planning Officer Tsewang Gyalson and Head of Departments/ District Officers from various department of Leh district.

During the meeting, NDC Chairman Pramod Jain instructed all the officers to access various aspects of Infrastructure and Post Creation in each department for the newly formed districts. He advised the officers to evaluate existing status of post and infrastructure and submit proposals for requirements of new posts and infrastructure at District, Sub Division and Block Level. If no requirement exist, the chairman directed the officers to provide their reasons as well.

Additionally, officers were directed to discuss the issues related to creation of posts and infrastructure with their respective Directors and Administrative Secretaries and submit a comprehensive proposal/report to the office of Additional District Development Commissioner or Chief Planning Officer within 10 days. Further, ADDC and CPO were instructed to examine all the proposals/ reports before the next meeting scheduled for November 27, 2024.
