Land Handover for Government High School Achinathang Marks Resolution of Long-Pending Issue
Khaltse, April 25, 2025:
In a significant step toward educational infrastructure development, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khaltse, Mohd Sharief, formally took over 27 Kanal of land at Achinathang from the Army Authorities today. The land is earmarked for the construction of the Government High School Achinathang.
The handover took place in the presence of SDO and Naib Tehsildar (NT) Skurbuchan, Abdul Samad, ensuring complete transparency and cooperation between civil and military authorities.
This milestone follows the intervention of the Deputy Commissioner Leh and the Hon’ble Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC-Leh, which helped resolve a long-pending land issue that had delayed progress on the school’s development.
The initiative reflects the commitment of the District Administration Leh, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, and central government bodies to prioritize education and community welfare in remote regions of Ladakh.
