Ladakh is facing an unprecedented and alarming rise in drug abuse among the younger generation.
In this deeply moving episode, we sit down in-person with world-renowned scholar and Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, Geshe Lhakdor.
Instead of just looking at the statistics, we dive deep into the psychological and emotional root causes of addiction. Why are young people turning to substance abuse during rapid modernization? How can families and communities build safe spaces instead of passing judgment?
Geshe Lhakdor shares practical, secular mental tools (“mind hacks”) to help youth deal with isolation, peer pressure, and depression. This is a must-watch for every youth, parent, and community leader in Leh, Kargil, and beyond.
If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please reach out to local Ladakhi support groups or de-addiction centers. You are not alone.
