Former MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal Expresses Gratitude to UT Administration Ladakh for Creation of Five New Districts
Leh, August 31: Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, former Member of Parliament Ladakh, former BJP State President, and former CEC of LAHDC Leh, met today with Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, to express his deep gratitude to the Union Territory Administration of Ladakh, led by Hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd), for the Ministry of Home Affairs’ announcement of the creation of five new districts in Ladakh.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal hailed this decision as historic, reflecting the aspirations of the people of Zanskar, Nubra, Changthang, Sham and Drass. He emphasized that this move will bring administrative services closer to the people, reaching overall development every corner of the region.
JTN also urged the UT Administration to expedite the boundary demarcation process with careful consideration of the voices and sentiments from all sections of society.
JTN also expressed his concerns about the ongoing demand of the people of Suru-Sankoo and Shakar-Chiktan. Furthermore, he requested the creation of necessary posts to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services to these newly announced districts, in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
