Following the circulation of a viral video depicting open burning in the Agling area, Ladakh Pollution Control Committee (LPCC), in collaboration with Ladakh Police, conducted a swift inspection. The inspection resulted in an immediate fine of ₹25,000 being imposed on the spot for the violation.
Authorities are urging the public to refrain from open burning of waste. They emphasize the importance of responsible waste disposal and encourage residents to hand over their segregated waste to the Municipal Committee or Project Tsangda.
