DIET Leh Hosts Program on Overcoming Exam Stress
Leh, April 24, 2024: A District Level Orientation and Sensitization Program was held at DIET Leh today, focusing on issues of exam stress among children. The program, held under the aegis of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights’ (NCPCR) ‘Pariksha Parv 7.0’, aimed to support children in overcoming exam-related stress and to change the outlook of children, parents, and teachers towards exam anxiety.
The event featured several key resource people, including Chief Education Officer Sonam Wangchuk, Principal DIET Deldan Angmo, HoD DIET Leh Tsering Yangdol, and Senior Lecturer Dorjey Angchuk. These experts led discussions on various issues related to exam stress among children, providing valuable insights and strategies.
The program saw significant participation from both government and private schools, with a total of 140 teachers and parents attending. This engagement highlights the widespread concern for children’s well-being during examination periods and the collective effort to address it.
The initiative reflects the NCPCR’s ongoing commitment to creating a supportive environment for children’s development, particularly in the context of academic pressure. By bringing together educators and parents, the program fostered a collaborative approach to mitigating exam stress and promoting a healthier perspective on examinations.
