Department of Fisheries, Leh Conducts Cleanliness Drive in Honour of Compassion Month

In a heartfelt tribute to the 90th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, the Department of Fisheries, Leh today carried out a cleanliness drive at Sindhu Ghat and Fish Farm, Nubra, marking the observance of July as the Month of Compassion.

The initiative aimed at promoting environmental stewardship and spreading the message of compassion, peace, and non-violence — values deeply upheld by His Holiness. Officers, staff, and field workers of the Department participated in the drive with great enthusiasm and commitment, ensuring thorough cleanliness in and around these significant public areas.
