16 Aug 2024: The Animal Husbandry Department Leh successfully organized a two-day Veterinary Healthcare / Awareness Program at Nayrak and Photoksar on 12 and 13 August 2024, bringing crucial healthcare services and information to the livestock rearers of these remote villages.

At the awareness programs the participants were enlightened about various schemes of the department, common diseases of livestock and scientific feeding/ management of livestock in extreme climatic conditions.

During the programs a session of question-and-answer was also conducted which provided an opportunity for the participants to present their grievances for redressal.

Further on the spot treatment was given to livestock, and free of cost supplements and medicines were distributed to the participating livestock rearers.

The program was conducted by the Block Veterinary Officer Khaltsi accompanied by the Disease Investigation Officer Leh.
