Bishnah : In a major crackdown against the drug nexus and organized crime, Jammu Police, in coordination with the District Administration, carried out a demolition drive against properties belonging to three notorious drug peddlers and habitual offenders in the Bishnah area of Jammu district.

The action was taken against individuals allegedly involved in multiple criminal cases, including offences under the NDPS Act, Arms Act, IPC/Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and other serious crimes. According to police, their continued involvement in narcotics trafficking, violent offences, and organized criminal activities had adversely impacted public order and created an atmosphere of fear among residents.

The demolished properties belonged to:

1. Gulzar Ahmed alias Lahu, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of Waziru Chak, Tehsil Bishnah. He is a notorious criminal with 28 FIRs registered against him for various offences.

2. Farman Ali alias Phalla, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of Waziru Chak, Bishnah, presently residing at Sarore, Samba. He is reportedly involved in eight pending criminal cases.

3. Fareeda Bibi alias Majeeda, resident of Waziru Chak, Bishnah, who police describe as a conduit of UAPA accused Lau Gujjar and is also facing a case under the NDPS Act.

Officials stated that the demolished properties were collectively valued at approximately ₹6 crore.

Jammu Police said the operation was aimed at dismantling the financial infrastructure of criminals involved in the drug trade and sending a strong message to those engaged in narcotics-related activities. The department reiterated its commitment to taking stringent action against individuals involved in drug trafficking and organized crime to ensure public safety and maintain law and order. :::
