District Panchayat Office, Leh, Organizes Closing Ceremony of World Toilet Day Campaign

Leh, December 10, 2024: The District Panchayat Office, Leh, organized a programme to mark the closing ceremony of the World Toilet Day Campaign today. The event was attended by Sh. Abdul Gaffer Zargar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Leh, as the chief guest, along with Smt. Tsetan Angmo, Deputy Director Planning, and Smt. Sameena Khatoon, Block Development Officer, Leh.

The programme began with a welcome speech by Smt. Sameena Khatoon, BDO Leh, who extended a warm welcome to all the participants. Sh. Abdul Gaffer Zargar, ACD Leh, delivered a speech on the importance of sanitation and hygiene, highlighting the objective of World Toilet Day. He also congratulated the winners identified during the campaign for their clean and well-maintained toilets.

The recognized winners were presented with appreciation certificates and small presents. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Smt. Tsetan Angmo, Deputy Director Planning.

The programme was attended by IHHL beneficiaries, ex-sarpanches of best-performing Community Sanitary Complexes (CSCs), and officials of the Rural Development Department, Leh.
