Samba :A routine day turned into a nerve-wracking ordeal for the residents of Sumb Kandi’s Nanetar village when a local woman reported seeing two suspicious individuals near her home, sparking a large-scale search operation.

The unsettling incident unfolded when the woman, whose identity has been withheld for security reasons, encountered the suspects at the entrance of her gate. The men allegedly asked for food and water, an unusual request that left her alarmed. Fearing for her safety, she hurried inside and alerted her family. When her family members emerged, the suspects had vanished.

In a swift response, the woman’s family contacted the police. Senior officers, including SSP Samba Vinay Kumar, SP Surinder Chaudhary, DySP Bhisham Dubey, and Sandeep Charak SHO Samba, quickly mobilized to the scene to assess the situation. Recognizing the potential severity, the officers notified the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu Kashmir Police.

DySP SOG Garu Ram, along with his specialized team, arrived promptly and launched a comprehensive search operation. Utilizing advanced technology, including drones, the SOG scoured the dense forest areas surrounding the village. The search extended into the evening, as authorities meticulously combed through the terrain, which connects to the forests of Sohal and Saida villages.

The unexpected presence of the two strangers has ignited widespread fear and speculation among the villagers. Residents of Nanetar and neighboring areas have been left anxious, with many suspecting the individuals might have strayed from the adjoining forest regions. The dense, interconnected forests have long been a challenge for local security, often serving as a refuge for miscreants.
