In a tragic incident early this morning, a bus en route to the revered Shivkhori shrine veered off the road and plummeted into a deep gorge at Tanda, Akhnoor. The accident has sparked a massive rescue operation led by local authorities and emergency services.

Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar has promptly arrived at the accident site to supervise the rescue efforts personally.

The local police, under the direction of SDPO Akhnoor, are actively involved in the operation.

Preliminary reports from the scene suggest a grim toll, with sources fearing that between four to five lives may have been lost in the horrific crash. However, officials have yet to confirm the exact number of casualties as rescue operations continue.
