Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025 Observed in District Court Complex
As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2025, a cleanliness drive was organized at the District Court Complex under the leadership of the Hon’ble Principal District & Sessions Judge, Leh Sh. Manoj Parihar. The event was attended by Ms. Phuntsog Angmo, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Leh/Special Mobile Magistrate, Leh, Sh. Tsewang Phuntsog, Chief Judicial Magistrate(CJM), Leh, Sh. Nawang, Senior Prosecuting Officer,Leh and Sh. Stanzin Rabgais, Executive Officer, MC Leh.
The program commenced with the administration of the Swachhata Pledge, wherein all judges, court officials, staff members, and advocates reaffirmed their commitment towards maintaining cleanliness and contributing to a litter-free environment.
Following the pledge, a special cleanliness drive was carried out in and around the Court Complex. Participants actively engaged in cleaning the premises, ensuring a neat and orderly environment within the court area. The drive highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining public spaces, especially institutions of justice, as symbols of discipline and civic responsibility.
The Hon’ble Sessions Judge, while addressing the participants, emphasized that cleanliness is not merely an activity but a way of life, and urged everyone to extend this spirit of Swachhata into their daily routines and surroundings.
On the occasion, the Municipal Committee extended its support to the campaign by distributing masks, gloves, cotton bags, reusable water bottles, and campaign T-shirts among the participants. This gesture not only encouraged safe and sustainable practices but also promoted the message of reducing single-use plastics and adopting eco-friendly alternatives.
The campaign reinforced the message of “Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” and showcased the judiciary’s strong commitment towards the vision of a Swachh Bharat.
