SRINAGAR:In a commendable move to streamline public services, a special camp was inaugurated on July 31, 2024, at the Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board Camp Office in Bemina, Srinagar. Under the direction of Mandeep Kaur, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, and Ashish Kumar Gupta, JKAS, Managing Director of the J&K Housing Board, this camp aims to address various issues faced by the public, including the transfer of plots, extension/conversion of leasehold rights, and the issuance of NOCs for conveyance and sale deeds.
Purpose and Duration: Running until August 3, 2024, the camp provides a platform for the public to engage directly with Housing Board officials to resolve their concerns promptly. This initiative underscores the department’s commitment to improving public service efficiency and responsiveness.
Public Engagement and Immediate Resolutions:The first day witnessed a significant turnout, with numerous applicants seeking information and necessary documentation for plot transfers and other related matters. Housing Board officials efficiently addressed many issues on the spot, demonstrating a commitment to resolving public grievances swiftly. The Managing Director, Ashish Kumar Gupta, emphasized the importance of this initiative and encouraged allottees and lessees to utilize the camp fully. He also assured the public that similar camps would be organized in the future, fostering a sense of hope and reassurance among the residents.
