Launch of Special Camp for Revision of Panchayat Electoral Roll in Leh District
Leh, 21st July 2025:
The Leh District Administration today launched a special camp for the Revision of the Panchayat Electoral Roll, in a concerted effort to ensure accuracy, transparency, and inclusiveness in the electoral process at the grassroots level.
The camp was officially commenced in the presence of key officials:

Shri Romil Singh Donk, Deputy Commissioner & District Panchayat Election Officer, Leh
-
Shri Ghulam Mohammad, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Leh
-
District Panchayat Officer/Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Leh
-
District Informatics Officer, NIC Leh
The program began with the public display of electoral rolls at designated booths across the district. These booths are being actively managed by the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and Panchayat Electoral Booth Officers (PEBOs) to facilitate smooth operations.
To encourage maximum citizen participation, special camps for revision of electoral rolls will be conducted on the following dates:

26th & 27th July 2025

2nd & 3rd August 2025
-
9th & 10th August 2025
These camps aim to support the following services:
-
Inclusion of new voters
-
Deletion of ineligible entries
-
Correction of existing voter details
-
Transposition of voter entries within the Panchayat areas
All eligible citizens who have attained the age of 18 years as on 01.01.2025 are strongly encouraged to visit the special camps and ensure their names are correctly included in the Panchayat Electoral Roll.
This initiative reflects the District Administration’s commitment to strengthening democratic participation and empowering rural governance through transparent and inclusive electoral practices.
