Police Solve Theft Case in Jammu; Stolen Property Worth ₹1,00,000 Recovered

JAMMU :In a major breakthrough, the Police Post Digiana in Jammu successfully solved a theft case, recovering stolen property worth approximately ₹1,00,000. The incident involved the theft of a two-wheeler, leading to swift action by the police under the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The Case and Arrest:A complaint was lodged at Police Post Digiana regarding the theft of a Pulsar motorcycle. Following this, an FIR (No. 208/2024) was registered under Section 303(2) of the BNS Act at PS Gandhi Nagar. During the course of the investigation, the police identified and arrested a suspect,Hem Raj Sharma, son of Hans Raj Sharma, resident of Kadarnu Gujroo Nagrota, Tehsil Ramkot, District Kathua.
Recovery of Stolen Property:The police team, led by officers of Police Post Digiana and supervised by the Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Gandhi Nagar and SDPO City South, conducted a thorough inquiry. Under the overall supervision of SP City South, they recovered three stolen motorcycles, including:
1.Pulsar motorcycle (JK02AR-4340)
2.Hunk motorcycle (JK02AG-9060)
3.Black Splendor motorcycle (without a number plate)
The recovered property has been valued at ₹1,00,000.
Ongoing Investigation:The case is still under investigation, with efforts underway to ascertain whether the suspect was involved in other thefts or if there are additional stolen items linked to the case.
