JAMMU:The Master Plan of the Patnitop Development Authority (PDA), originally notified in 2000, is facing significant scrutiny as it undergoes a long-overdue revision. According to the J&K Development Act of 1970, the Master Plan is required to be revised every five years. However, 24 years have passed without any updates until now.
Issues Raised by Applicants:
Applicants requesting changes to the revised Master Plan have voiced concerns about inaccuracies. One significant issue raised involves the area in Kud where a petrol pump has been operational for decades. The revised Master Plan mistakenly shows this area as vacant. Sources revealed that a team from CEPT (Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology) Ahmedabad visited the Kud area to address and rectify such discrepancies.
