One-Day Training on NGDRS for Sub Registrars Successfully Held in Jammu

A one-day training program on the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) was organized by the Department of Registration, Jammu & Kashmir, in collaboration with the Software Development Unit (SDU) of NIC Pune. The program took place at the Revenue Training Institute, Gole Gujaral, Jammu, and saw active participation from 100 attendees, including 39 Sub Registrars and their supporting staff.
The training aimed to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the document registration process through the NGDRS platform. Sub Registrars from across Jammu Division were introduced to advanced tools and techniques for implementing the digital registration system effectively.
Focus Areas of the Training
1.Digital Registration Process:
Mr. Pranav Barote, a Senior Software Developer from NIC Pune, delivered a detailed presentation on the NGDRS portal. He provided step-by-step guidance on the platform’s functionalities and demonstrated the features of “My Deed,” an innovative, paperless registration initiative launched under the Government of India’s digital transformation drive.
2.E-Stamping and Document Verification:
Mr. Harmandeep Singh, Branch Head of Stock Holding Corporation of India (SHCIL), discussed the locking and verification of e-Stamps under the Stamp Act Samvat 1977. Participants learned how to authenticate and verify e-Stamp certificates, ensuring the validity of financial documents and boosting confidence in the digital process.
3.Query Resolution:
The training addressed queries raised by Sub Registrars and their staff, clarifying procedural doubts and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the new system.
