National Law University Faculty Engages Scholars at University of Jammu in NEP 2020 Aligned Session

JAMMU: a session resonating with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Prof. Prasannanshu from National Law University, Dwarka, New Delhi, led an interactive dialogue with scholars at the University of Jammu’s Nehru Hall Boys Hostel. Organized under the guidance of Prof. Lalit Sen, Provost of Boys Hostels, the event underscored the University’s commitment to embracing new educational norms.
Engaging Academia:The session brought together scholars from various disciplines including Computer Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Statistics, and English. Participants like Vijay Sen, Preteek Sharma, Anchal Singh, Deepu Tiwari, Gagandeep Singh, and Arun Kumar were actively involved, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of modern academic inquiry.
Focus on Research Excellence:Prof. Prasannanshu emphasized the critical role of research and methodology in achieving academic success. He stressed that a robust publication record, substantial experience, and an active interdisciplinary network are key to a fruitful academic career. His advice to scholars was to embrace a work culture that goes beyond comfort zones, fostering open-mindedness and contributing to national development.
Active Participation:The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from the scholars, who posed insightful questions. Dr. P.P. Singh, Resident Warden, provided additional guidance, enriching the discourse. The primary aim was to inform scholars about post-doctorate opportunities and address their academic queries.
Recognition and Insights:Prof. Prasannanshu was honored for his contributions to academia and society. The session also featured inputs from Dr. Nitan Sharma, Faculty of The Law School, University of Jammu, and Mr. Avinash Choudhary, a student from The Law Department and Chairman of the Border Welfare Organisation. Mr. Choudhary highlighted the crucial role of academics in addressing drug abuse.
