Jammu: In a tragic turn of events on the early morning of 8th July 2024, the Jammu & Kashmir Police demonstrated swift and decisive action in response to the murder of a local youth. At around 01:30 AM, Ajeet Singh from Krishna Nagar lodged a distressing complaint at Police Station Satwari. Singh reported that his nephew, Sahil Choudhary, had attended a party at a friend’s house on the evening of 7th July 2024. By 12:15 PM the next day, Singh received the devastating news that Choudhary was found lying in a pool of blood on the roadside at Barjala.

Upon this alarming discovery, Singh, along with family members, rushed to the scene and transported Sahil Choudhary to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu. This prompted the registration of an FIR (No. 164/2024) under Sections 103(1)/3(5)/BNS at Police Station Satwari, immediately initiating a comprehensive investigation.
