As part of the ongoing “Mimang-Si-sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative, a public outreach camp was organized on November 17, 2025, at Saboo Village. The event was conducted under the supervision of Er. Tundup Spalzang, Superintending Engineer (SE) of the Power Development Department (PDD) and Nodal Officer for the program. In his opening remarks, the SE expressed gratitude to the Nambardar, villagers, and representatives from various departments. During the camp, several departments provided detailed information about their schemes and services.

The Department of Soil Conservation described the district plan for IWMP schemes, emphasizing the use of glacier water for irrigation, construction of water channels, and provision of chain-link subsidies, with forms disseminated through the Nambardar.
The Health Department offered on-the-spot OPD services, ABHA and PMJAY registrations, free TB screening, and follow-up consultations for BP and sugar levels. They also urged cooperation in making Saboo a Tobacco-Free Village and provided psychological support through the Tele-MANAS helpline.
The Rural Development Department discussed schemes under MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat, and PMAY, while the Zonal Education Officer and the Headmaster appealed for community support in upgrading local schools, highlighting free books, transport services, meals, digital labs, and smart classes, and encouraging parents to enroll their children in government schools.
During the interaction, the Village Nambardar presented a memorandum to the Nodal Officer, outlining key grievances such as the need to upgrade the Community Hall and Medical Centre, repair internal village roads, construct a new water reservoir tank, and install CCTV cameras and streetlights. Requests were also made for establishing a waste disposal system, supplying chemical fertilizers, regulating land distribution, and constructing an archery stadium. Other villagers raised concerns regarding the construction of a bridge on the Ayu side, issues with the quantity and usefulness of seeds and farming tools for larger farms, the need for both organic farming research and access to chemical fertilizers, and ensuring year-round availability of cattle feed.
The Nodal Officer thanked the villagers for their active participation, and the event concluded with a commitment to follow up on all issues raised.
