Message from IGP Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti (IPS)
Jammu: I am honored to take charge as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, and I extend my gratitude to the people of Jammu, my colleagues in the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and all stakeholders committed to maintaining law and order in the region.
At this critical juncture, our top priority remains ensuring public safety and fostering a crime-free society where every citizen feels secure. We are committed to taking decisive action against all forms of crime, particularly organized criminal networks, drug trafficking, and gangs that threaten peace and stability.
The menace of drugs has deeply impacted society, particularly the youth, and tackling this issue requires a multi-pronged strategy. Our approach will focus on stringent enforcement against drug peddlers and suppliers, intelligence-based operations, and close coordination with other law enforcement agencies. At the same time, we will work on awareness programs and rehabilitation efforts to help those affected by substance abuse.
Organized crime and criminal gangs operating in the region will be dealt with firmly. There will be no tolerance for individuals or groups involved in extortion, illegal activities, or disturbing communal harmony. Our teams will intensify efforts to dismantle such networks, strengthen preventive policing, and ensure swift legal action against those involved.
The safety and security of the public remain paramount. Strengthening community policing, increasing patrolling, and enhancing technological interventions will be key measures in our strategy to curb crime and instill confidence among the people. We urge the public to come forward, report any suspicious activities, and actively participate in maintaining law and order.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have always been at the forefront of ensuring peace and security, and with the support of the public, we will continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and dedication. Together, we can build a safer, stronger, and crime-free society.
