In a dazzling display of talent and camaraderie, the Law Department of the University of Jammu hosted ‘Party Palooza’—an electrifying event that combined the sentiments of a farewell ceremony for outgoing students with the excitement of a freshers day extravaganza.
The Zorawar Singh Auditorium was ablaze with energy as over 300 attendees, including students, faculty, and staff members, gathered to celebrate this special occasion.
Gracing the event as the Chief Guest was Mrs. Manju Jamwal, the esteemed Head of the Law Department. The evening unfolded with a medley of performances and activities that showcased the multifaceted talents of the department’s students.
The stage came alive with vibrant cultural performances, enchanting poetry recitations, and lively games that elicited cheers and laughter from both students and staff.
Dance enthusiasts were treated to captivating performances by Anushka Bakshi, Maskeen, Pranjal, Ananya, Radhika, and other talented individuals. A stylish ramp show added flair and elegance to the evening, dazzling the audience.
The culmination of the evening was marked by a soulful rendition of a melodious song by Abid Farooq, which left a lasting impression on the attendees.
One of the highlights of the night was the announcement of the ‘Mr & Ms Fresher’ and ‘Mr & Ms Final’ titles. Avinash Choudhary and Ananya Shukla of the first semester were crowned as Mr & Ms Fresher, while Suryansh and Achyuta Sharma of the final semester earned the prestigious Mr & Ms Final titles. The decisions were made by a distinguished jury panel from the faculty, including Mrs. Manju Jamwal, Prof. Sanjay Gupta, Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Prof. Raj Sandhu, Prof. Mohd Arif, Prof. Arti Sharma, and Prof. Savita Nayyar.
In a touching moment, Avinash Choudhary, beaming with pride, emphasized the significance of such events in fostering unity among students from diverse backgrounds. He stressed the moral responsibility of students to honor faculty members, respect seniors, and combat the societal challenge of drug abuse among youth.
The event was flawlessly anchored by Insha, Aneesa, Ayush, and Dikshaya—students of the Law Department—who kept the proceedings lively and engaging throughout.
As the freshers were warmly welcomed into the fold by final year students, emotions ran high during the farewells bid to the outgoing seniors, with heartfelt wishes exchanged for success and happiness in their future endeavors.
The entire event was a testament to the dedication and creativity of the students of the Law Department, who organized every detail meticulously. Special mention goes to the Food Committee led by Atul Singh Kattel, Ashwani Sharma, and Manik Goswami, who ensured that participants were treated to a delightful lunch.
The evening drew to a close with an infectious group dance to popular Punjabi tunes, as students reveled in the joyous spirit of togetherness and celebration.
