Dr. Padma Gurmet, Director, National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, Leh met Prataprao Jadhav, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Ayush in New Delhi on 19.12.2024 to discuss various issues pertaining to the promotion and development of Sowa Rigpa system of medicine.

He gave a detailed presentation about the development of the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine and establishment of the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa in Leh- Ladakh, Dr. Gurmet requested the Hon’ble Minister for sanction of additional budget allocation of Rs. 100 crores for the establishment of various infrastructure for the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa (NISR). The Hon’ble minister assured all possible support for the development of the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine and establishment of infrastructure for NISR.
