DGP Chairs Introductory Meeting with Jammu District Officers, Sets Strategic Priorities for Security and Community Policing

JAMMU In an essential gathering aimed at strengthening law enforcement coordination and setting strategic directions, Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Nalin Prabhat, IPS, led an introductory meeting with Jammu district officers at the District Police Lines (DPL) in Jammu. The session focused on identifying priorities, enhancing security measures, and improving administrative strategies across the district’s law enforcement network.
During the meeting, the DGP emphasized the evolving security challenges facing the Jammu district, calling for proactive approaches and efficient response mechanisms to meet emerging threats. Key priorities outlined for the district include maintaining law and order, protecting public welfare, and fostering robust community policing. The DGP encouraged officers to share specific insights and challenges from their jurisdictions, promoting an environment of transparency and teamwork.
Shri Prabhat assured officers of the necessary support and resources to help build a responsive, cohesive, and capable police force across the district. He highlighted the importance of public trust in law enforcement, urging officers to adopt transparent, community-oriented strategies in their operations to strengthen relationships with local residents.
The DGP praised the efforts of the Jammu Zone police in maintaining security and peace, commending their dedicated service to the community. He concluded the meeting by outlining actionable steps aimed at enhancing safety measures and renewing the commitment to safeguarding Jammu’s citizens.
The meeting saw the attendance of senior police officials, including Sh. Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP Jammu Zone; Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, DIG JKS Range; Sh. Joginder Singh, SSP Jammu; and all officers in the ranks of SSPs, SDPOs, SHOs, and ICPPs of district Jammu.
