Volleyball Tournament Concludes in Khaltse.

Khaltse, January 20, 2025: The volleyball tournament organized by Zhunu Tsogspa Kharlatse successfully concluded on January 19, 2025, in Khaltse.

A total of 11 boy’s teams and 3 girl’s teams participated in the tournament, showcasing competitive spirit and sportsmanship. BJP District President, Sh. Tashi Gyalson Khachu, graced the event as the chief guest, while Stanzin Phurboo, Namberdar of Khaltse, was the guest of honor. Also present were Second SHO Khaltse, Skarma Angchuk, venerable monks, Ex-President of LBA Sham, Tsewang Nurboo, and Ex-Sarpanch of Khaltse, Nawang Rigzin.

BJP District President Tashi Gyalson Khachu commended the Zhunu Tsogspa Kharlatse for organizing the event and assured that the remaining work on the new ground would be completed in the coming season, with full support for future sports initiatives. He encouraged all players to participate in various sports, which could lead to opportunities at district, national, and international levels, while also promoting good health.

Namberdar Khaltse, Stanzin Phurboo, also expressed appreciation for the tournament and the effort by Zhunu Tsogspa Kharlatse in organizing the event.

The girl’s final match saw the Tia team defeat the Khaltse team, while in the boy’s final, Six Star Chiktan triumphed over the Khaltse Junior team.

A cultural program was also showcased during the event, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the chief guest, Sh. Tashi Gyalson Khachu, distributed prizes to the players in recognition of their performances.
