Jammu: In a concerted effort to improve the education sector in Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya has called for enhanced discipline and punctuality among the teaching staff. During a comprehensive review meeting, DC Vaishya underscored the importance of fostering initiative and ingenuity among educators to elevate the academic performance of government schools across the district.

Action Plan for Erring Staff: Addressing concerns about staff performance, the DC outlined stringent measures for dealing with erring personnel. Staff members found lacking in discipline or punctuality will face immediate corrective actions, including formal warnings, suspension, or transfer to ensure that the standards of education are not compromised. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that accountability is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the education system and ensuring that students receive the quality education they deserve.

Improving Student Performance: DC Vaishya urged Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) to set clear and measurable targets for enhancing the academic performance of students. He stressed that the entire educational framework should work collaboratively to inculcate discipline and critical thinking skills among students. The focus on punctuality and ingenuity among teachers is seen as a key driver in achieving these goals, as dedicated and innovative teaching practices are essential for student success.
