In a stern move against misconduct and negligence, three Special Police Officers (SPOs) have been dismissed from service in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district following their involvement in various criminal activities, including cases related to murder and narcotics. Daljeet Singh, Bali Ram, and Deepak Singh were ousted from their positions while two separate departmental inquiries were conducted against them in 2023.

According to official reports, Daljeet Singh and Bali Ram were implicated in a murder case registered at Ramgarh police station. Shockingly, they managed to escape from police custody, leading to grave concerns over their responsibilities. Consequently, they were relieved from their duties due to dereliction of duty and breach of trust.

In another instance, Deepak Singh faced the repercussions of his involvement in a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Samba police station.
