Interacting with the people of Nagri Parole, a village in Kathua district, was an enlightening and deeply rewarding experience. The event was orchestrated by Sh. Rup Lal Bharti, a retired IFS officer and an esteemed member of the Jammu and Kashmir Socially and Educationally Backward Commission, along with Appu Singh, Advocate, whose contributions were invaluable in ensuring the success of the program.
Key Observations and Lessons
Toilet is a Luxury: One of the most striking realizations from the visit was the perception of basic amenities like toilets as luxuries. This highlighted the pressing need for improved sanitation infrastructure in rural areas.
