“Buddha Purnima Celebrations Nationwide: A Moment of Spiritual Unity”
Today, people nationwide are joyously celebrating Buddha Purnima, marking the auspicious occasion of Lord Buddha’s birth anniversary. This significant day holds profound importance for Buddhists globally and stands as a prominent festival in various countries, including India, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, Thailand, Tibet, Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Mongolia, Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.
Both President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar have extended warm greetings to the nation on this auspicious occasion.
President Murmu, in her heartfelt message, underlined the timeless teachings of Lord Gautama Buddha, which revolve around truth, non-violence, harmony, and universal love. She emphasized that Buddha’s profound wisdom inspires individuals towards serving humanity, promoting tolerance, self-awareness, and virtuous conduct.
Vice-President Dhankhar, echoing similar sentiments, emphasized how Lord Buddha’s teachings serve as a guiding light for leading a life rooted in ethical principles, mental resilience, and profound wisdom. He highlighted the transformative impact of Buddha’s principles, such as the Four Noble Truths and the Eight-fold Path, which advocate for compassion and non-violence, guiding individuals towards a path of enlightenment and inner peace.
