Jammu:Preparation for the upcoming 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the formation of a comprehensive State Election Management Committee. The committee’s structure reflects the party’s commitment to a well-organized and strategic campaign across the region.
Key Appointments:
Jugal Kishore Sharma as Chairman: MP Jugal Kishore Sharma has been nominated as the Chairman of the State Election Campaign Committee. His leadership will be crucial in steering the party’s efforts toward a successful campaign.
Assem Gupta as Convenor: Assisting Sharma, Assem Gupta has been appointed as the Convenor, with Rajiv Jasrotia, Pawan Khajuria, and Er. Shouqat Gayoor Andrabi named as Co-Convenors.
Election Office Management: Smt. Priya Sethi has been designated as Incharge of the Election Office, with Parneesh Mahajan, Ghulam Nabi Namthali, Adarsh Jathiar, and Reema Padha serving as Co-Incharges.
Call Centre and Media Management: Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia will oversee the Call Centre, supported by Adv. Ishant Gupta and Adv. Sheikh Salman. The Media Department will be managed by Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, with Dr. Tahir Chowdhary and Adv. Sajid Yousuf Shah as Co-Incharges.
Legal Affairs and Relations: Adv. Sunil Sethi has been assigned to manage Media Relations, with assistance from Abhijeet Jasrotia, Balbir Ram Rattan, and Altaf Thakur. Additionally, Sethi will manage Legal Matters and Election Commission relations, supported by a team of legal professionals including Adv. Rajesh Thapa, Adv. Parimoksh Seth, Adv. Nouman, and Adv. Satinder Singh.
Publicity and Literature: The management of publicity material and literature distribution is divided among several members. Sanjeev Sharma will lead these efforts, assisted by Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar, and Rajneesh Jain will oversee literature printing, supported by a team of Co-Incharges.
Tours and Transport: Sh. Arvind Gupta will manage vehicle logistics, including helicopters and chartered flights. Dinesh Gupta and Vikas Bhatti will coordinate national and state tours, respectively.
Hi-Tech Campaign and Social Media: Adv. Ishant Gupta is in charge of the Hi-Tech Campaign and Social Media efforts, including IVR, SMS, and OVR. The team also includes specialized roles for managing Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp groups, and the party’s website.
Special Campaigns and Cultural Outreach: Tarun Sharma will lead cultural publicity initiatives, including folklore teams and street plays, supported by Co-Incharges Kulbir Charak and Sahil Mahajan.
Youth, Women, and Marginalized Communities: The BJP has also focused on engaging specific voter groups. Arun Prabhat will oversee youth outreach, while Smt. Sanjita Dogra will lead efforts to connect with female party workers.
