*Assailants suspected to be Militants kill Brother of TA Soldier in Rajouri Firing Incident**
In a tragic incident on Monday night, the brother of a Territorial Army (TA) personnel was fatally shot when unknown gunmen, suspected to be militants, targeted their residence in Shahdara Sharief area of Thanamandi in Rajouri district.
According to official sources, assailants opened fire at the home of a TA soldier in Kunda village near Shahdara Sharief. The gunfire resulted in critical injuries to the soldier’s brother, identified as Mohammad Razak, son of Mohammad Akbar.
Despite immediate efforts to save him, Razak, aged 40 and employed in the Social Welfare Department, succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at a nearby hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead.
Following the attack, a combined team of police and army personnel swiftly initiated a cordon and search operation in the area to locate and apprehend the assailants. As of the latest update, the search operation is ongoing, with no arrests reported at the time of this report.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dangerous and volatile conditions faced by families of security personnel in regions like Rajouri.
