Jammu: In a farewell ceremony held at the Zonal Police Headquarters in Jammu, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of the Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, IPS, along with senior police officials, honored Major General Upkar Chander, the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Delta Force. This ceremonial departure marks the end of Major General Chander’s tenure, which was marked by significant contributions to the security and counter-terrorism efforts in the Jammu region.

Farewell Ceremony and Its Significance:

ADGP Commendation for Major General Chander’s Leadership. During the ceremony, ADGP Jain commended Major General Chander for his leadership and effectiveness in combating security threats. The Major General’s tenure, marked by close cooperation between the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, has been instrumental in tackling insurgency and restoring stability to sensitive areas.
