Srinagar : Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Shri Daljit Singh Chaudhary, accompanied by BSF Kashmir Inspector General Shri Ashok Yadav, paid a visit to the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Srinagar. The high-level meeting saw discussions between the DG BSF and the Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Shri R.R. Swain, along with senior police officials, including Special DG J&K Police and DGP-designate Shri Nalin Prabhat, ADGP (Headquarters) Shri M.K. Sinha, and ADGP Law & Order Shri Vijay Kumar.

The meeting primarily focused on the prevailing security situation both along the borders and in the hinterland. A key point of discussion was the ongoing counter-infiltration measures and the crucial role of coordinated intelligence sharing between the BSF and J&K Police to bolster security efforts. Both agencies reaffirmed the importance of collaboration to ensure the safety of the region’s civilian population, especially in light of continued infiltration threats.

The interaction underscores the pressing need for enhanced synergy between the BSF and local law enforcement to address evolving security challenges, including cross-border militancy and internal threats. The discussion also highlighted the importance of proactive measures, efficient resource management, and intelligence-driven operations to prevent infiltration and safeguard the region.
