Chhamb :The Congress party officially kicked off its assembly election campaign in the Chhamb constituency with a significant rally held in Village Thanger. The event, marked by a massive turnout of party workers and supporters, was spearheaded by senior Congress leader Satish Sharma. The rally served as a robust start to the party’s electoral efforts, signaling a determined push to reclaim the constituency and secure a broader victory in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.

The rally also celebrated the recent appointment of Shri Tariq Hameed Karra as the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Congress, a development that has invigorated the party’s rank and file. His agenda includes securing a separate 3% reservation for residents of both ALC (Actual Line of Control) and IB (International Border) areas, launching special recruitment drives for border regions, addressing the mining issues plaguing the area, ensuring compensation for land acquired by the Defense Ministry, promoting border tourism, providing adequate staffing to all government institutions within the assembly, regularizing daily wagers, addressing public concerns over smart meters, passing a resolution to end the Agniveer scheme, and issuing new ration cards.

Sharma’s address was well-received by the crowd, with many expressing optimism about the Congress party’s chances in the upcoming elections.
