4-Day Special Camp of JK Housing Board Concludes at Bemina Camp Office
Camp Witnesses Impressive Turnout from Residents Across Kashmir Division

SRINAGAR : The four-day special camp of the Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board concluded today at its Camp Office in Bemina. Running from July 31st to August 3rd, the camp saw active participation from residents of various colonies across the Kashmir division, addressing a wide array of housing-related issues.
Residents from Housing Board Colonies in Bijbehara Anantnag, Nambal Pampore, Ompora Budgam, as well as from Srinagar localities including Bemina, Soura, Bagh-e-Mehtab, Rawalpora, Bootakadal Lal Bazaar, and Jawahar Nagar, engaged with the Housing Board Office. The technical team at the office efficiently resolved most property portal-related issues on-site, addressing concerns regarding plot sales, lease extensions, conversion of leasehold rights, and issuance of NOCs for conveyance deeds.
Cases involving deficiencies in statutory documents and violations of lease conditions due to plot amalgamation or division were identified for further review by the Board of Directors. Additionally, the Managing Director and Housing Board team conducted a field visit to Bagh-i-Mehtab Colony, where there was significant public demand for a Marriage/Community Hall and Graveyard. The MD assured residents that these requests would be brought before the appropriate authorities for approval and funding.
During the camp, the Managing Director highlighted the Board’s commitment to providing continued support and resolving the residents’ issues. He reassured the community that the success of this special camp has paved the way for future camps aimed at supporting residents of Housing Board Colonies across Jammu and Kashmir.
Technical Team Efforts and Issue Resolution:
The technical team of the Housing Board leveraged their expertise to provide on-the-spot resolutions for property portal-related issues. Their efficiency and dedication ensured that a significant number of problems were addressed promptly. For more complex cases, particularly those involving statutory document deficiencies or lease condition violations, the team documented these for further review by the Board of Directors.
Field Visit and Community Engagement:
A key highlight of the camp was the field visit to Bagh-i-Mehtab Colony by the Managing Director and his team. They engaged directly with residents to understand their needs, focusing on the demand for a Marriage/Community Hall and a Graveyard. Recognizing the importance of these facilities for the community, the MD committed to advocating for these projects at higher levels of authority to secure necessary approvals and funding.

The Managing Director assured residents from all colonies that the positive response and success of this special camp would lead to the organization of future camps.
