๐๐๐ก, ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐: On the second day of his tour in Durbuk block, Joint Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Dr Iftikhar Hussain visited Merak, Phobrang, Kargyam, and Tharuk Sheep Extension Centers to review records on June 27.
During his visit Dr. Iftikhar Hussain engaged with breeders from Chushul and Kargyam villages on enhancing year-round sales of pashmina and mutton. He also commended the breeders for their commitment to boosting profits through increasing value addition in these livestock products.
Additionally, Joint Director inspected kidding pens constructed under a special development package across various villages in Durbuk block. He expressed satisfaction with the positive impact these installations had on breeders and gathered feedback from breeders regarding the design and utility of the pens.
Further, he conducted inspections of various infrastructure components, including a solarised community hall established for skill development, livestock sheds, and engaged in discussions with Ama Tsogspa (women alliance group) on enhancing the value of pashmina through additional processing.
