Leh, June 19: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, SKUAST-K Nyoma in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Nyoma organized a Live screening regarding the release of the 17th installment of PM KISAN, a flagship scheme of the Government of India, at KVK Nyoma yesterday.

About 45 beneficiaries/farmers from different villages of Nyoma block were present to view the live screening of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narender Modi addressing the farming community of the nation. Dr Phuntsog Tundup, Head KVK Nyoma, Dr Tashi Dolkar, Subject matter specialist (Home Science), Tsering Dolker, Agriculture Extension officer, Nyoma, Nambardar Nyoma and other supporting staff of the Kendra and Agriculture Department were present on the occasion.

Tsering Dolker, Agriculture Extension officer and Dr Phuntsog Tundup while interacting with the farmers gave a detailed overview of the flagship programme. After the programme, scientists and officers of the Agriculture department interacted with the farmers regarding their issues/problems in farming in this hostile region and on-spot e-KYC was done for the PM KISAN beneficiaries. Later, the participants were served with Hi-tea and dinner.
