**JAMMU, 14th May 2024** — The inaugural 5s Hockey Tournament organized by MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp culminated in an exhilarating finale on Sunday, with MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp triumphing over BBSB Hockey Club Poonch with an impressive score of 8-4. This thrilling victory marked not only a sporting achievement but also a significant step in promoting hockey and sending a powerful message against drug abuse within the Jammu community.
The man of the match, Jasprit Singh, showcased exceptional skills throughout the game, contributing significantly to his team’s commanding win.
The tournament, designed to bolster the popularity of hockey in Jammu and rally against drug addiction among the youth, was a collaborative effort spearheaded by MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp under the guidance of Hockey J&K.
In a notable gesture, SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar graced the occasion as the chief guest, delivering a resounding message against drug abuse and advocating for increased participation in sports to divert youth from harmful influences.

The event also drew luminaries like Parvinder Singh, Editor In Chief of Black and White Digital News and Rajinder Singh Nathu, President of MBS Hockey Club, along with Rajinder Singh Mehta renowned businessman & Rajinder Singh Kuku, former president of Hockey India, J&K.

Notably, Parvinder Singh used the platform to advocate for enhanced sporting infrastructure, urging SSP Jammu to include the Govt. High School Simbal Camp ground under the Police’s Civic Action Program for improvement of the ground.
