*Inspiration for the youth of J&K as12 Young Minds Ace UPSC 2023″*
In a testament to sheer determination and excellence, 12 bright minds from Jammu and Kashmir have triumphed in the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Service Exams 2023. Among them, Anmol Rathore emerges as a standout achiever, securing an impressive 7th All India Rank (AIR).
The recently declared UPSC results brought jubilation to Jammu and Kashmir as Anmol Rathore, a native of Bhaderwah, clinched the 7th rank nationwide. Rathore’s journey to success is inspirational, having cracked the exam on her third attempt at just 24 years old. She hails from Doda district and pursued her BA LLB Honours from Gujarat National Law University after completing schooling at GD Goenka, Jammu.
Joining Anmol in this remarkable achievement are 11 other candidates from J&K who have made their mark in the rigorous examination. Notable names include Arjun Gupta (AIR 32), Manan Bhat (AIR 88), and Harnit Singh Sudan (AIR 177), showcasing the diverse talent from the region.
Manan Bhat, a resident of Soura, Srinagar, secured AIR 88 in UPSC 2023. His academic journey, which began with a B Tech in Electronics from NIT Srinagar, reflects his perseverance and dedication to public service. Prior to UPSC success, Bhat also qualified in the JKAS examinations, further highlighting his commitment to civil services.
The UPSC CSE 2023 witnessed a total of 2800 candidates participating in interviews held between January and April this year. The rigorous selection process saw 1016 candidates recommended for appointment, reflecting the high standards upheld by the Commission.
The Civil Services mains examination, held from September 15 to 24, 2023, spanned various shifts and was a testament to the candidates’ aptitude and hard work.
The success of these young achievers underscores the potential and talent thriving in Jammu and Kashmir. Their accomplishments serve as an inspiration to youth across the region, encouraging them to aim high and pursue their dreams with dedication.
