๐๐๐ก, ๐๐ฉ๐ซ ๐, ๐๐๐๐: District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting with the District Nodal Officers to review the preparation of Lok Sabha elections 2024, today on April 3 at the VC Hall, DC office.
The DEO, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve went through the checklist circulated among the District Nodal Officers and enquired about the completion and status of conducting training sessions for the pooling parties on duty.
He stated that all the training should be completed before May 13 as stated in the election guidelines. Additionally, he added that all the personnel involved in the polling party should be allotted ID cards.
During the meeting, District Nodal Officer, SVEEP, Tajamul Ara briefed about the samples of T-shirts and caps that will be distributed during the SVEEP campaigns to the DEO. DEO Leh instructed the Nodal Officer to ensure that these merchandise also reach the Head of villages. Further, he stated that he will plan a visit to oversee the availability of all the election materials.
In the end, the DEO asked to deploy a vehicle equipped with loudspeakers around the city to make announcement of the implementation of the MCC and added that prior permission is required for all the gatherings.
The officials present during the meeting were Deputy District Election Officer, Leh, A.G. Zargar(JKAS); ARO, Leh, Ghulam Mohd(JKAS) and all the District Nodal Officers.
