Jammu: The 17th edition of EPS Industry Connect – The Energy Exchange, organized by Industrial Outlook in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), concluded successfully at Radisson Blu, Jammu, bringing together more than 250 policymakers, industry leaders, renewable energy developers, EPC companies, manufacturers, investors, utilities, and technology providers to deliberate on the future of clean energy in the Union Territory.
Held under the theme “Powering Jammu & Kashmir – India’s Mountain Energy Frontier,” the conference featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, and technical sessions focusing on key areas including Hydro-Solar Synergy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Smart Grids, Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure, Open Access, Captive Solar, Green Tourism, and the evolving Renewable Energy Policy and Investment Landscape.
The event was graced by Ms. Babila Rakwal, JKAS, Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Science & Technology Department and Chairperson, JAKEDA Executive Committee, as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished attendees were Sh. Deepak Sharma, Senior Technical Officer, JAKEDA, and Er. Rahul Rathore, Assistant Engineer, JAKEDA. The conference also witnessed the participation of JAKEDA’s empanelled vendors, including Orkan Energy, Ecoepicsolar, and Kashmir Renewable Energy, alongside eminent industry experts and business leaders.
Speakers highlighted the importance of accelerating renewable energy deployment across Jammu & Kashmir through stronger policy support, enhanced grid resilience, adoption of advanced clean energy technologies, and increased public-private collaboration. Discussions also explored investment opportunities and practical strategies to expand the region’s renewable energy ecosystem while supporting sustainable economic development.
The conference served as a collaborative platform for government representatives, industry stakeholders, investors, and technology providers to exchange ideas, address implementation challenges, and foster strategic partnerships aimed at advancing Jammu & Kashmir’s transition towards a resilient, low-carbon, and sustainable energy future.
