PM Modi To Address ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan’ At Vigyan Bhawan On April 13

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan’ at Vigyan Bhawan on April 13, with the event set to bring together women achievers and key voices from across sectors, including governance, academia, science, sports, entrepreneurship and social work.
Scheduled for 11 am, the national-level programme aims to underline the growing role of women in shaping India’s development narrative.
The Sammelan comes in the backdrop of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’, passed in September 2023, which provides for one-third reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies.
With a Parliament session slated for April 16 to focus on its implementation, the event is expected to reinforce the push for greater representation of women in decision-making. It will also highlight the government’s emphasis on women-led development as a key pillar of its Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, spanning leadership roles from Panchayats to Parliament.
