DC Leh Reviews Arrangements for Upcoming Kargil Vijay Diwas Commemoration

Leh, July 18, 2025: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Leh, Romil Singh Donk convened a coordination meeting today to review the preparations for the upcoming Kargil Vijay Diwas event, scheduled to be held on July 26 at 9:00 AM at Singge Namgyal Chowk. The day is observed every year to honour the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War.

During the meeting, various arrangements for the event were discussed. These included venue preparation, seating arrangements, placement of sofas and carpets, decoration, participation of approximately 10 NCC cadets, installation of a sound system or speakers, and other essential services. The Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions to the concerned departments to ensure that all preparations are completed well in time.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Education Officer, Leh; Assistant Director, Tourism, Leh; Assistant Director, DIPR, Leh; Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Leh; Executive Engineer, PHE, Leh; and the President of the Ex-Servicemen Association, Leh.
