Kavinder Gupta Appointed as New Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh

New Delhi :The President of India has accepted the resignation of Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) from the post of Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

In a significant reshuffle of gubernatorial appointments, the President has also appointed Shri Kavinder Gupta as the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. Gupta, a senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, brings extensive administrative and political experience to the post.

Additionally, the President has appointed:

• Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh as Governor of Haryana, and

• Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju as Governor of Goa.

These appointments will come into effect from the dates the appointees assume charge of their respective offices.

The reshuffle is part of a broader administrative move aimed at strengthening governance across the states and union territories.
